The start of a New Year brings about a de-Chirstmas-decor, clean, fresh home! So, I thought, what better time to begin my home tour, than now! Today I am sharing the dining room with y’all. It might be my favorite room in the house. In fact, our dining room was one of the first fully decorated rooms in our home.
I felt that the dining room was a great place to start because it sets the tone for the literal neutral tone of the rest of our home. I’m not a big fan of color in my decor – but bring on every neutral and sign me up! Every major room and bedroom in our home is painted the same color, China White, by Benjamin Moore. I will say, this “scared of color” part of me quickly leaves when I think about moving Evie out of her gender neutral nursery, and into a pretty and blush-pink room :)! But, I’m getting off topic. When designing our dining room, I knew I wanted a rustic feel. My table and the two book cases are from a furniture designer (GJ Styles) I stumbled upon at the High Point Market. They perfectly represent my style!
The carpets that are in our dining room and living room were our major splurge. They are from Stark and I am obsessed with their soft-for-Sisal feel + pattern. It was a no brainer that I wanted the dining room and living room to share the same carpet since they open up into one another.
The drapes were made with the help of New South Home! I am so glad my Mama talked me into going with a pattern. I love the way they turned out! And the antlers on the wall are from my Father in law. I love them, a lot. The lamps are a Homegoods find…and I love the Greek Key for the Greek roots in the family!
Our Lillian August server holds wine glasses, champagne flutes, napkin rings, and placemats…you name it! We got this piece when we lived in a 680 sqft NYC apartment and I love how it’s now in our home in the South!
And last, but certainly not least, the chairs! Oh the chairs. Y’all. They are from WOLRD MARKET and I got them at 50% off. Can’t make this stuff up! I love, love, love them and can’t believe I found them at such a steal. Sadly, they are discontinued + I fully regret not purchasing a total of eight. Sigh.
And there you have it, our neutral + cozy dining room. We don’t eat in here often enough, but, Spyros and I both love this room so.darn.much that we both want to start using it more + more!
