A couple weeks ago I confessed to y’all how my nesting seems to be taking over almost every room in the house. I’m cleaning and clearing out, and finding myself “refreshing” each room as I showed y’all a few weeks ago with our den. Next on the list? Our living room/dining room/foyer. Our dining room changed its purpose several months back when we had the opportunity to inherit my family’s piano. Bottom line: when someone wants to give you a piano you don’t say no. So now we are dining room-less and house a beautiful piano in our music room? Piano room? Former dining room? Whatever you want to call it. We love these 3 connected, more formal rooms (foyer/living/dining) at the front of our home and though they’re not “lived in” as much, it sure is nice to have some grown up space where little Pie toys aren’t often scattered. (Though she does take her babies on a stroller ride in the little circle of our house that includes this area often.)
Onto our “spring refreshed” living room area! Welcome! xx
Fixture (similar) | Dresser (similar | similar) | Styled Coffee Table Book | Rug We rearranged some art in our home, and I love how this pieced moved to the foyer. All of it’s colors are so “me” and it’s a peaceful welcome into our home. It reminds me of when we lived at the beach for a couple years. Love it.
The walls are SW Sea Salt–one of my very favorites–at 100%. I love how it looks different in each room and at different parts of the day. My favorite part of Sea Salt is that you it can take on gray, blue, and green hues all while remaining a soft neutral. The best.
My favorite time to use this room is during naptime. With my laptop to do some work or my Bible study to catch up on, I love to sip coffee in the stillness of this room. When naptime does work at our home (you know, since I’m the mother of #NoNapNancy), sitting in here is the most peaceful, relaxing part of my day!
